Is Wall Street Bullish or Bearish on Autodesk Stock?

With a market cap of $63.8 billion, Autodesk, Inc. (ADSK) is a leading American software company headquartered in San Francisco, California. Autodesk specializes in 3D design, engineering, and entertainment software, serving industries such as architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), manufacturing, and media & entertainment.

Shares of ADSK have outperformed the broader market over the past 52 weeks. ADSK stock has increased 33.8% over this time frame, while the broader S&P 500 Index ($SPX) has rallied 12.5%. However, shares of ADSK are up marginally on a YTD basis, compared to SPX's 1.4% gain.

Zooming in, ADSK has also surpassed the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund's (XLK10.7% return over the past 52 weeks and has matched XLK’s marginal rise in 2025.

Despite delivering strong fourth quarter results on Feb. 27, Autodesk shares fell 2.9%. The company reported revenue of $1.6 billion for the quarter, marking an 11.6% year-over-year increase, driven primarily by robust subscription sales, which made up 97% of total revenue, and ongoing geographic expansion. Adjusted earnings per share rose 9.6% from the same period last year to $2.29.

Looking ahead, Autodesk expects fiscal 2026 revenue to fall between $6.9 billion and $7 billion, with adjusted EPS projected in the range of $9.34 to $9.67.

For the fiscal year, which ends in January 2026, analysts expect ADSK's EPS to grow 14.5% year-over-year to $6.71. The company's earnings surprise history is promising. It beat the consensus estimates in the last four quarters.

Among the 26 analysts covering the stock, the consensus rating is a “Strong Buy.” That’s based on 18 “Strong Buy” ratings, one “Moderate Buy,” and seven “Holds.”

On May 16, Baird analyst Joe Vruwink reiterated an “Outperform” rating on Autodesk and raised the price target from $303 to $335.

ADSK’s mean price target of $322.96 implies a premium of 9.1% from the current market prices. The Street-high price target of $370 implies a potential upside of 25% from the current price levels.
